Antic Ideal 02 by French artist Avrandinis features abstracted still life motifs portrayed through thin white lines against a deep brown backdrop. The deep colour has been created by mixing pigments with glue - the linen fabric on which it has been painted providing the work with a deeper sense of texture and depth. Deliberately open in gesture and form, Chemla's work leaves space for the viewer to cast their own meaning onto the composition.
